Presentation and discussion of curriculum by Social Studies teachers.
Discussion:
Mr. Hahne reported for two secondary teachers in their absence. In Mr. Wickizer's and Mr. Prater's classes they discuss patriotic holidays, the election and veterans day as well as the constitution. They focused on the presidential election this year. Mr. Wickizer assisted those seniors old enough to vote to get registered. A number of students were allowed to leave school on election day so they could go to the polls and vote. Second grade teacher, Natalie Dittmer spoke to the board about items taught in her classroom such as military bands, the constitution timeline, the War of 182 and the Civil War. On Constitution Day they did an in depth study of the founding document.
