Discussion:
COMMITTEE REPORTS: BUILDING AND GROUNDS: Flooring for the hallways and gym, electrical crews, plumbing crews have been here working on various projects and carpet will be completed soon. EDUCATION: The School Law Seminar is June 10-11 in Kearney. The Area Membership Meetings are this fall and the closest one for us is Wednesday, September 2 in North Platte if any board members would like to be registered.

VII. Principal's Report

Discussion:
Mr. Nick Brost's Principal's Report: Congratulations to the HS Track students who concluded their season. There were 18 students out for track and over 100 personal bests set during the season. Jayla Paulsen competed in the High Jump and 800m at the State Track meet. Jayla set the school record in the 800m at Districts. Summer activities are underway with weight room, camps and open gyms. Drake Arensdorf placed 1st at a wrestling event in Florida. Drake was also invited to Ohio to compete in the 100m and 400m races. South Platte hosted the 5th annual MAC vs MNAC basketball games. Thank you to all who helped organize and host the event. NSAA Activity Registrations are due July 1. The activity calendar has been moved to Bound for the 2026-27 school year. DC Group is on their trip. June 8 — gym closed for refinishing; July 19-22 - Coaches Clinic.

Discussion:
Mr. David Spencer's Superintendent's Report: The ESU 16 Cohort Groups finished their training on May 28th. The gym is closed June 8-22 for the floor to be refinished. The NHS Blood Drive is June 25. The Non-Public School Special Education Meeting is June 23, 2026. The playground is in need of new mulch. Mr. Spencer gave the board an update on the wrestling room.

Discussion:
There was a discussion about the School Wellness Policy #5052 and the Tri-Annual Assessment.

Discussion:
Mr. Spencer handed out the KSB policy updates to the board. The suggestion is to review these and adopt in July.

IX.C. Cameras in the Classroom
Discussion:
There was discussion about cameras in the classroom. The camera system has been tabled.

Discussion:
Classified staff was moved to executive session.

Discussion:
There was discussion about the 2026-27 Student, Activities and Staff Handbooks. The suggestion is to review these and adopt in July.
