Description:
Major facility upgrades are needed to ensure our buildings, mechanical systems, and infrastructure stay safe and efficient. Maintaining our schools is essential to the viability of The Cedar Mountain School District.
The facilities committee (Joe, Jeff, Brycen) has met many times over the past year in study and discussion. Given the significant subsidy available for the project through the 70% State School Building Bond Agricultural Tax Reduction and a $2.3M Federal Rebate, the committee has concluded that this is the best time to move the project forward. Information about the project is attached. Corey Schlosser and Rob Krokoski from Apex Solutions along with the Facilities Committee will explain the project and answer questions. The superintendent recommends that the school board proceed with the project as presented. |
8. Shared Superintendent
Description:
Letters of inquiry were sent to BLHS, Sleepy Eye, GFW, and Wabasso to determine interest in sharing a superintendent beginning July 1. BLHS and Wabasso are not interested. Joe, Jeff, and Dr. Malone met with representatives from Sleepy Eye on November 14 and GFW on November 20. The potential cost savings to the district is $100,000. The committee will have a recommendation for the school board at the meeting.
