The retreat began with a welcome from Mr. Jeremy Cowley, who highlighted the district’s progress through collaboration, growth, and purpose, reminding us that continuous improvement is a defining mindset. Dr. Jessica Rimmer and Dr. Marian Redwine led a session on Board Alignment and Governance, focusing on shared vision, clear communication, and collaborative decision-making. Their discussion reinforced the importance of alignment between the Board and Executive Team to ensure accountability, trust, and strategic clarity. Dr. Kayleen Wichert closed by connecting the retreat’s themes to Metro Tech’s core values—Student Success, Innovation, Collaboration, Integrity, and Wellness and Safety—emphasizing that our pursuit of excellence is ongoing, rooted in data-driven progress, resilience, and purpose.
