V.I. Open Transfer Law (Senate Bill 783)

The open transfer law (Senate Bill 783) requires that each school site’s grade level capacity be approved by the Board of Education prior to the first day of January, April, July and October of each school year. The superintendent, or designee, shall determine the criteria to be used in determining grade capacity for each school site based on current enrollment and staffing.
