I. Call Meeting to Order
Discussion:
The meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m.

II. Roll Call of Members
Discussion:
Ms. Adams, Mr. Bryan, Mrs. Landry, Mr. Tierney, Mr. Price, and Mrs. Modder were present. Ms. Stevens was excused. Attorney Lubinski, Attorney Hamiel, Dr. Weiss, Mr. Neir, and Mr. Barnes were also present.

III. The Board of Education will vote to convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. Sec. 19.85(1)(a) and (b) as follows:
(b) "Considering dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee or person licensed by a board or commission or the investigation of charges against such person, or considering the grant or denial of tenure for a university faculty member, and the taking of formal action on any such matter. . .,” and (a) [d]eliberate concerning a case which was the subject of a quasi-judicial hearing before [the Board],” for the purpose of considering and deliberating over the District Administration’s separate recommendations to terminate the employment and Wis. Stat. §§ 118.21/118.22 teacher contract and the respective response, if any, by the teacher and the teacher’s representative.
Discussion:
Ms. Adams moved to convene in closed session. Mr. Bryan seconded the motion. Unanimous.
Opening statements were given by Attorney Lubinsky and Mr. Barnes. Dr. Weiss, Mr. Neir, and Mr. Barnes gave testimony pertaining to exhibits introduced during the hearing. The board recessed at 6:13 p.m. and reconvened at 6:16 p.m. Closing remarks were given by Attorney Lubinsky and the employee. Ms. Adams, Mr. Bryan, Mrs. Landry, Mr. Tierney, Mr. Price, Mrs. Modder, and Attorney Hamiel moved into the Small Board Room at 7:06 p.m. to deliberate and returned at 7:16 p.m. |
IV. Return to Open Session
Discussion:
Mrs. Landry moved to return to open session. Mr. Brian seconded the motion. Unanimous.

V. Action on Closed Session Items, if any
Discussion:
Mr. Tierney moved to terminate the employment of Mr. Michael Barnes, as well as to terminate the employment contract between Mr. Barnes and the district for just case effective immediately. Mrs. Landry seconded the motion. Unanimous.

VI. Adjournment
Discussion:
Mr. Tierney moved to adjourn the meeting at 7;17 p.m. Mrs. Landry seconded the motion. Unanimous.
