Mr. Hoesing asked the Board to be thinking about what needs to be discussed and addressed at this retreat. Otto Woockman stated he feels that the Board needs to address the issue of parents combating school staff, teachers, coaches, etc. rather than them supporting the staff. He doesn't feel all parents do this but wants the staff to be respected and supported. Today Wausa Public School had their first active shooter training and Mr. Hoesing wants to thank the Knox County Sherrif's Office, the Wausa Fire and Rescue and the Safety Committee at school for their involvement in making this a success.
