2.1. WRE- Mr. Alderson
Discussion:
Mr. Alderson spoke about the assessments from the elementary school based on 2016-2017 thru 2017-2018.
He explained the numbers and how we are changing as a district against the state average numbers. There were some interesting numbers based on male/female learning. He has stated that he is going to dig into this alot deeper and try to get some better understanding on what is possibly causing these numbers. We agreed that the numbers seem to always stay same year after year, and we need to look at some solutions to get going in the right direction. |

2.2. MS/HS- Mr. Zessin
Discussion:
Mr. Zessin spoke to us about the assessment system that in evaluated at the middle/high school.
We looked at the numbers of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade class as that is what is evaluated. He stated that he is starting to see some growth in the mathmatics and language arts areas that are tested. Terry also talked about the school wanting to add a new text curriculum to the Language Arts department to allow all teachers to be on the same program. The 11th and 12th grade take the ACT instead of these assessment tests. We will be having a The Leader In Me Academic Alignment Training on August 7th, 2019 |

3. BrightBytes Results- Video
Discussion:
Kerry Sheeks talked about the video results that were sent to us as a board.
The ESU pays for all schools to utilize this program. |
|
4. Security Camera Discussion- Kerry Sheeks
Discussion:
Kerry wanted to talk to the board about security cameras for the school district. The cameras work very good, but the software is not at all very user friendly.
Elementary: The cameras are good, just need to make some adjustments to the reach of view and some areas that needed added for better coverage. High School: There are some areas that will be added as there is needing better coverage as well. The board will look at developing a plan to get this project completed in phases. |

5. School MIssion Statement- "Making Education Count"
Discussion:
Dr. Haley wanted the board to look at our mission statement "Making Education Count", and make it much more visible both in the school as well as in the community.
We wanted to make it more Wood River instead of so generic. This has came about partly due to our every 5 year review in accredidation. The administration has noticed that the majority of the mail to the 2 buildings come in many name forms, such as Wood River Rural School, Wood River High School, Wood River School, etc. The Elementary will be seperated as its own building with its own accredidation review going forward. |
