1. Declaration of Intend – Open Meetings Act
Discussion:
Board President Marlin Berg Declared the November School Board Meeting open and reminded everyone of the Open Meeting Law posted in the library.

2.1.1. Singing of the National Anthem by Madison Bosak
Discussion:
Madison Bosak, a freshman at SEM, did an amazing job singing the National Anthem. Madison was chosen to sing in the All State Choir in Lincoln November 16 and 17.

Discussion:
Safety and security team have met and are working on an updated safety plan because of the new addition and the reassignment of classrooms.
Mr. Matt Hothem reported from the foundation on the bricks that were purchased . The display for the bricks on the wall was designed by students and will be chosen from one of their ideas. The cover for the gym floor purchased from the foundation is here and is ready to be used. |

3. Recognition of Visitors/Public Forum
Discussion:
Teacher representative Lois McKenzie, John Rohde, five of his 7th grade students, Mr. Bosack and Madison Govier were all present at the meeting. John Rohde's 7 th grade class presented a skit on Project Mesopotamia that they have been studying in their class. Students were present to read about their project and show the board the props they had made. Mr. Bosack and Madison Govier presented on the technology that is being used in his music appreciation class to compose and create music. They played several songs that have been composed by the students. Plans for the class is to compose and present one of their finished pieces. |

Mr. Finkey's report included information on the elevator, paint spills, SEM Safety and Security, audit, fire monitoring system and message from KSB School Law office.

6.2. Consideration of Sound system for new gym
Discussion:
Discussion on a sound system for the new gym was tabled until the December school board meeting.

6.3. Consideration of color for "eyebrow" over the schools main entry.
Discussion:
Purple was the color chosen to be painted for the eyebrow over the schools main entry. A mustang wraparound was discussed for a possibility for further installation.

Rationale:
Do we want lights on the flag pole on the FB field?
Discussion:
A light for the North Flag pole will be ordered and installed.

Superintendent's Evaluation was passed out for review to bring back to the December board meeting.
