Bulldog Award: Neisha Halencak- Intermdiate Works spoken by Deborah Alcozer. Daniel Fitzgerald CTE TAILGATE: INCOMING CLASS OF 2030. Had a great turn out for our future CTE students. PISD is offering 14 programs of study. PISD is also starting Cosmetology in the fall. CTE has also opened up to PJHS. Students are able to begin in 8th grade. PJHS Currenlty has 110 students enrolled in CTE courses for the fall of 2026. Larry Garcia - FCCLA President Justine Guzman spoke about the impact FCCLA has had on students, sharing how it has provided valuable opportunities for many. She highlighted the passion and effort students put into their work, as well as the growth she’s witnessed—seeing nervous students gain confidence and step outside their comfort zones. She also recognized Van Pelt and Garcia as strong teachers and role models who guide and support students. As president, she expressed pride in how supportive and encouraging FCCLA members are toward one another. BPA Tasha Hughes/Araceli Chavez — Students went to the state conference. 8 HS and 2 PJHS students advanced to the National Leaders Conference in TN. BPA PJHS Araceli Chavez- 2 PJHS Students advanced to nationals Leaders Conference in TN. Football Coach Wyatt Martinez- All district honors on players. Student athlete and trainers to reconginze. UIL all district recognized for football players. Jordan porter school record 96 receptions 6th in all of state of texas. PHS Art Department Mr. Angel Azua: Every student made it to state. Kelly Shackelford- STUCCO is heading to San Antonio, Texas. |
