IV. CLOSED SESSION - Trustees will meet in closed session as permitted by the Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et.seq.
A. Deliberation on the appointment, employment, compensation, evaluation, assignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of employees pursuant to Texas Government code 551.074. B. Deliberation and Consultation with attorney regarding potential or contemplated litigation or matters involving attorney client privilege pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.071. C. Deliberation regarding Economic Development, to discuss commercial and financial information related to the construction of a new manufacturing facility and possible offer of financial incentives related to an application for an Appraised Value Limitation on Qualified Property under the Texas Economic Development Act, Chapter 313 of the Texas Tax Code -Texas Government Code section 551.087 1. Discussion related to a 313 application.

VI. Business Item

VI.1. Consideration and possible action to accept for consideration an Application for an Appraised Value Limitation on Qualified Property under the Texas Economic Development Act, Texas Tax Code, Chapter 313, assess an Application fee, and authorize the Superintendent to review the Application for completeness and submit such Application to the Comptroller

Discussion:
Sofia Rivera made the motion that the Board: (1) accept for consideration Martin Operating Partnership, L.P.'s Application for an Appraised Value Limitation on Qualified Property; (2) set a standard application fee of $75,000 for such Application; and, (3) authorize the Superintendent to acknowledge receipt of the Application and application fee, review the Application and, upon a determination that such Application is complete, work with the Underwood Law Firm to submit the Application to the Comptroller as set out in Chapter 313 of the Texas Tax Code motion seconded by JoAnn Rey, motion carried 5-0.
Veroncia Salazar left the board meeting at 1:55 p.m, before action was taken. |
