IV.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Linda Gibson reviewed some of the highlights and events going on in the district:
Rim Country Middle School Honors Banquet was very nice. It is always a wonderful way to celebrate our students. Payson Elementary School had a great science fair last week. She showed pictures of a couple of the experiments. They all were quite impressive. Julia Randall Elementary School had a Kiwanis Terrific Kids Award breakfast. Rim Country Middle School/Payson High School provided a wonderful band concert. A big thank you to Alan Simpson. |

Discussion:
Jolynn Schinstock attended the Dirty Dozen Volleyball game.
Michell Marinelli attended the Powder Puff games. She also attended the state track meet, it was very hot. Plus, the RCMS Honor Banquet. Barbara Underwood also attended the Honors Banquet. She thinks it is great that teachers can select their student selection based on different criteria. Joanne Conlin wanted to thank Beth Christensen and her music group for walking down to the Senior Center and playing for the group. The seniors in attendance really enjoyed having them. Audrey Hogue attended the Powder Puff games also. |

Discussion:
Barbara Underwood made a motion to rescind and nullify all current and past policies of Payson Unified School District.
Jolynn Schinstock seconded. Barbara Underwood subsequent motion was to adopt the Policy Manual developed with consulting assistance from the Arizona School Boards Association, containing selected retained documents from the predecessor Manual and the new and modifier documents are hereby prescribed and approved by the Board. |
VIII. MOTION TO MOVE INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Discussion:
The Board moved into Executive Session at 7:41pm.

VIII.A. Pursuant to ARS§15-843 and ARS § 38-431.03 (A)(1) a public body may go into executive session for discussion on the Superintendent Performance Pay.
Pursuant to ARS§15-843 and ARS § 38-431.03 (A)(1) a public body may go into executive session for discussion on the Superintendent Contract. (Read Prior to Executive Session) All persons present are hereby reminded that it is unlawful to disclose or otherwise divulge to any person who is not now present, other than a current member of the Board, anything that has transpired or has been discussed during this executive session. To do so is a violation of A.R.S. §38-431.03 A.2, A.3. unless pursuant to a specific statutory exception. Move to Regular Session |

Barbara Underwood appreciated Linda's hard work as her goals were lofty and difficult to meet.
