I. CALL TO ORDER

Discussion:
Audrey Hogue made a motion to approve the agenda with Items VII C, D & F tabled for further discussion. Seconded by Jolynn Schinstock

III.A. BOARD PLEDGE: We pledge that our decisions will cultivate the unique skills and abilities of all learners to reach their greatest potential in order to develop well-rounded learners inspired to EXCEL.

IV.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Linda Gibson reported that the participation at the JRE Math Camp over spring break had more than double the students enrolled.
Several of the district staff received the ADE Grant via Donors Choose. Summer School will be held at all sites this year and transportation will be provided. Katey McPherson was in the auditorium on Friday and spoke to RCMS teachers. She is a wonderful speaker. Speaks about youth wellness, mental health, social justice and citizenship.Student testing started. Tomorrow will be the ACT test at the high school. The ACT test was in the past considered a college entrance exam, but now it is for all students to gauge how they are learning content. Student testing started today. Tomorrow the ACT will be given at the high school. In the past, the ACT was considered a college entrance exam. Now it is a state standard test for high school students with all kinds of aspirations. |
IV.B. Governing Board
Discussion:
Audrey Hogue attended the middle school baseball tournament in Benson.
Joanne Conlin attended the speaker at the auditorium last Friday. She said that Katey was a wonderful speaker and had a great message. Barbara Underwood has been attending baseball games. |
V. PUBLIC COMMENTS - Members of the Governing Board shall not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action.
Discussion:
Juli Davies and Diane Holland spoke to the Board about their concerns over teacher performance pay.

The Board moved into Executive Session at 5:22pm.

IX. Pursuant to ARS§15-843 and ARS § 38-431.03 (A)(1) a public body may go into executive session for discussion on personnel.
(Read Prior to Executive Session) All persons present are hereby reminded that it is unlawful to disclose or otherwise divulge to any person who is not now present, other than a current member of the Board, anything that has transpired or has been discussed during this executive session. To do so is a violation of A.R.S. §38-431.03 A.2, A.3. unless pursuant to a specific statutory exception. Board President announces to move into Regular Session |
