The meeting was called to order at 11:33am.

IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS - Members of the Governing Board shall not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action.

V.A. Discussion and Possible Action on Payson Unified School District's COVID Protocols

Discussion:
All board members agreed that if a student or employee was tested positive should remain out 10 days. A majority of board members of the board stated that they support parent choice if they want to keep their student home if they have close contact. They are concerned about those employees that may not have sick/personal time to be quarantined for ten day for close contact; this could happen to someone more than once. The other concern is how much school instruction a child might miss if they have to go in and out of school for close contact. One board member was opposed to that idea and supported that there should be ten day quarantine if close contact, whether they had the vaccine or not.
