1. Fiscal Year 2017 Budget
Description:
Please see attached the presentation Mary will use on Monday evening. In a nutshell, our overall budget is projected to be near what we expected. We are doing well financially as a school district! We will have one time construction costs in FY17 that we factored in to our construction project several months ago. |
2. S&P Global Ratings - Royalton ISD #485, MN
Description:
Please see in the attached document our financial rating is AA+. This is a very good credit rating! There is only one level higher. |
3. 2016 Pay Equity
Description:
We received notification of compliance with pay equity. This is reviewed every three years. |
4. Mechanic Costs for Buses and Vans
Description:
Please know for FY 16 our mechanic costs to Gene's Auto were $16,976.12 in labor and $17,932.56 in parts. The total of the two is $34,908.68. This is far better than employing our own mechanic like in past years. |
5. Director of Student Activities and Community Education Negotiation Proposals
Description:
Please see attached Brent's contract requests for 2016-18. He is asking for a 4% salary increase in both years plus an added $200 on his 403b. Brent is one of the handful of employees that do not receive step increases. His request is in line and below what almost all other employee group's received. The principals received 4% and 4% salary increases. See attached the costing for Brent's requests. The total package would be 7.54% This is under our budgeted 4% each year or 8% over two years for employees. Therefore, my recommendation is to approve the request. |
6. Thank You Note from Matt Morgan
Description:
Please find attached a thank you note from Matt Morgan. I believe we have the fresh start we were looking for in our wrestling program. Matt is a qualified coach with beneficial experiences at different grade levels of students and schools. |
7. MSHSL Eligibility Committee Ruling
Description:
The MSHSL Eligibilty Committee found Terri Gall to be in violation of League Bylaw 411, Scheduling of Contests, at their June 6, 2016 meeting. As a result she has received a censure. Terri Gall held practices at a neighboring school on Sundays. She did this because our own track field is 3/4 torn up from construction. Unfortunately, she accepted incorrect information from two other area school coaches that teams can hold voluntary practices on Sundays as long as it doesn't result in more than 6 consecutive days of practices. Terri was a voluntary coach this past season and worked most closely with the runners and relay teams. For obvious reasons 3/4 torn up track doesn't work well for running relays. Terri should have taken Mr. Lieser's recommendation to practice in the evening's at the neighboring school. And she should have asked Brent and not other coaches about possible voluntary practices on Sundays. |
8. Weekly Bills
