1. Levy Certification
Description:
This will be brought to the meeting on Monday. Attached is the levy certification summary page. We are seeing a levy increase of 40.09%, most of which is the building bond. This is the calculated preliminary levy as of 9-17-15. At the board meeting, we certify the levy at the maximum level, which allows the state and the county auditor to make any necessary corrections to calculations. The county auditor includes our levy information in the property tax truth in taxation information that is sent out in November. We then certify the final levy in December. A couple of notes: The $300 per pupil levy is generating $313,379 for us. $203,089 is state aid, and $110,290 is local levy. The $424 per pupil Local Optional Revenue is generating $442,911 for us. $173,946 is state aid, and $268,965 is local levy. Between the two: $756,290 total revenue, $377,035 state aid, and $379,255 is local levy. Basically, when combining the two levies, we get $1.00 of state aid for every $1.00 of local levy. The new Long Term Facilities Maintenance Revenue (LTFM) is $201,607. $136,062 is state aid, and $65,545 is local levy. LTFM REPLACED the former Health and Safety levy, and Deferred Maintenance levy. Health and Safety was 100% local levy, and last year was $32,731 local levy. Deferred Maintenance was $29,080 state aid last year and $36,225 local levy. 2. Agreement for Gifted, Talented and Enrichment Coach
Description:
We forgot to include the GTE coach agreement in the board packet. The Board agreed to add 2% and 2% on her salary schedule like the others. We'll bring the new agreement to the board meeting for approval. Mary is gone for the weekend and she calculates the figures for us in Excel. |
