1. Consultant Fees
Description:
A question was asked by Noel Guerard about consulting fees for the proposed building project. Please see below an email message Mary sent him last week. The district has spent the following on consulting fees related to the proposed building project: $42,500.78 paid to Springsted, which includes the services provided by Roger Warner and Associates for the educational portion of the facilities study, Kraus Anderson for the facilities study, Carrie Ardito for communications services, and Springsted for the facilities study and community survey and referendum planning services. $3,000 to Hazel Reinhardt for the demographic study $918.50 to Carrie Ardito for additional communications services $0.00 paid to ESG for facilities study $0.00 paid to Winkelman Building as construction manager. Winkelman gets paid nothing if the bond doesn't pass. $0.00 paid to ARY (architect) for facilities planning, drawings, etc. Much effort has been made by the facilities planning committee, school district staff and board members, and consultants to put together a comprehensive plan that meets the needs of the school district while keeping the cost to the taxpayers in mind. Feel free to contact me, Dr. Ellerbusch, or any board member with questions you might have. |
2. CrisisGo
Description:
Please know we're purchasing CrisisGo to better serve us in emergency crisis situations. The attached document explains a little about the benefits of having a mobile app. You can visit their website to learn more www.crisisgo.com One of the top three concerns in my head each day is how we'd all respond to a real crisis situation, like a tornado or shooting. Having a 40 pages crisis plan on the shelf is a good first step, but it isn't always with you when needed. This is just one of many improvements we keep making in the school district. I'm realizing how important it may be to share more and more of these simple but significant improvements in how we operate. |
3. Tom West's Article About Building Project
Description:
Tom West from MCR called this week requesting to write a story about the proposed building project. I shared thoughts with him and emailed our written public communication pieces (e.g., brochure, Top 10 Fact Sheet, postcards, etc.). He said he's going to write a nice story! |
4. KLTF AM 960
Description:
I received a phone message from Scott at KLTF AM 960. When I returned his call he immediately placed me on hold and went over to the studio to begin recording my comments to questions. You may or may not hear some of them played back the next few days. |
5. Mediation with Secretaries
Description:
Please see attached Shannon's response to Shelley Gurbada at negotiations. Our next scheduled meeting is January 26. This will be as expected . . . slow and tedious. |
