1. Meeting with Andrea Lauer (Royalton Mayor)
Description:
I met with Andrea Lauer this morning to discuss the City of Royalton's role in the school district's building project. We need a timeline and required steps we need to take for permits, WAC/SAC hookups, etc. I also took the time to take Andrea through all the documents shared with you in last Friday's letter to the board. It was a good meeting! |
2. Meeting with Brenda Pesta
Description:
Brenda Pesta is a community resident in Royalton who was instrumental in gaining support and completing the Splash Park project. She has agreed to take on a new challenge in helping Royalton School District receive voter approval for a building bond levy. Brenda cannot do the work alone of course and needs our help with community members willing to participate on one of the six committees. Please help us fill these groups (see attached document). |
3. Tax Impact for $24,935,000
Description:
Don Lifto ran the tax impact calculations for our proposed construction project of $24,935,000. You will see in the attached document the tax impact on the average value home/property of $140,000 is $190/annually. This is $4 less than the $194 mark we were given to stay at or below. |
4. Painted Pedestrian Crosswalks
Description:
I visited with Morrison County about painting white pedestrian crosswalks on Nature Road. They said they'll contact and work with the City of Royalton to make it happen. |
5. Identification and Services for our Gifted, Talented, and Enrichment Program
