1. Levy Options and Tax Impact Prepared by Springsted
Description:
Please find attached levy option information prepared by Springsted. The figures they used were $174 and $194 annual tax increases on an average $140,000 home. We'll need to get back together as a facilities planning committee and continue now working on design. We may or may not need an additional $2 - $3 million to meet all of our identified needs at both school sites. Lots more to figure out and plan for in the coming weeks. |
2. Health Insurance Deductibles
Description:
A concern was raised during negotiations with one of the employee groups about health insurance deductibles. It was believed that an employee who went on cobra over the summer months had to begin all over again on their deductible contributions come September. We have in writing a response from the insurance company that our employees do not begin over again in the same calendar year (see attached email from Deb and Jamie). |
3. Sick Leave for Adult Children, Spouse, Siblings, Parents, Grandparents or Step-Parents
Description:
Another question was raised during employee negotiations about the new state statute regarding sick leave eligibility for adult children, spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents and step-parents. Kevin Rupp's response can be found attached. In essence, the employee doesn't have to work 12 "consecutive" months, but must work at least 1/2 time. |
4. Middle School Science Curriculum
Description:
Ms. Tschida has been a great addition to the MS/HS science department. Our students learn science from her. Her latest contributions have been developing middle school curriculum that Mr. Pressler can teach his students. |
5. Mary Lange Article in Health Matters
Description:
I came across this nice article about a former school board member of ours. I thought I'd share it in case you missed the mailing. |
6. Weekly Bills
Description:
Please see attached the weekly bills for your approval. |
