Discussion:
The regular September board meeting was called to order by President Steve Vyhnalek with all board members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented all expenses for all funds in 2021-2022. He also presented the General Fund expenses for August 2022.

7.1. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Wiese shared recent activities at DPS. The District has 4 new teachers in 2022-2023. Other continuing initiatives from last year are AM Door Supervision for security and building relationships; partnership with the Crete News and Friend Sentinel and the Rider Spanish program. Professional Development with staff was held with the Blue River Cohort on Sep. 6th. Weekly PD is held on Friday Early Outs at 2:00. MAP Testing is being done for grades K-11. Edgenuity is a web-based intervention program being used for Junior High Reading and Math. ASI (Academic Support Intervention time) has begun on Fridays during the early outs. Upcoming events include Homecoming week Sep. 12-16; Booster Pep Rally and Bonfire is Sep. 14th; Longhorn Line-Up on Sep. 15th; MTSS Leadership Team Meeting is Sep. 29th and K-3 Grandparents Day on Sep. 30th.

7.2. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk reminded the Negotiation Committee must meet by November 1st for the 2023-2024 school year. He shared information on the Nebraska Reading Improvement Act. The NASB State Education Conference will be held on November 16-18 in Omaha. September 7th several board members attended the NASB Area Membership Meeting.
