President Steve Vyhnalek called the November board meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Also present was school personnel Superintendent Daryl Schrunk. Prinicpal Adrian Allen and Linda Woolsey were excused absences.

7.2. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Schrunk presented on Net Option Funding (TEEASA = Tax Equity and Educational Opportunities Support Act) showing the pas few years numbers, along with option money generated to our district. He reviewed the Nebraska Statewide Assessment System, including NSCAS (Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System), the ACT given to all 11th graders, and the MAP growth test given to 3rd-11th grades. He shared a preliminary 2020-2021 budget, which details estimates for anticipated expenses and revenues.

8.1. Hand out audit to board members. Please review before December board meeting at which time we will discuss further.

Mr. Schrunk distributed a copy of the audit to all board members for review prior to the December board meeting.

8.2. Review Board of Education Policies #4056, #4059, #5005, #5006, #5007, and #5009.
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented policies #4056, 4059, 5005, 5006, 5007 and 5009. No changes were necessary.

8.3. Committee on American Civics
Discussion:
At this time, the board will allow public testimony regarding Nebraska SS 79-724. The procedures established in Open Forum will be used during this public testimony. Mr. Schrunk reviewed SS79-724 Committee on American Civics. He also shared Dorchester Public School's curriculum, which meets the requirements of the law. No public comment. |
