7.1. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Principal Allen shared information on the February 5th American Heart Association vaping presentation. Holly Nigh placed 1st place at the Beatrice Speech Invitational in Informative Speech. Hailey Schweitzer was awarded Honorable Mention in the Scholastic Art Awards. Classroom observations were shared. Upcoming events: District Wrestling Feb. 14-15, Girls District Basketball Feb. 17-20, Boys District Basketball Feb. 24-27. Quiz Bowl will be held on Feb. 19th at Dorchester.

Mr. Schrunk presented information on policies #5025 Insurance Program, #5029 Crisis Response Policy, #5030 Truant Behavior, #5031 Student Appearance and #5032 Closed Campus. No changes recommended.

Mr. Allen presented information on multicultural education instruction in the classroom at Dorchester.

9.2. Consider Approving Participation in the FBLA State Leadership Conference

Discussion:
The FBLA Senior Leadership Conference will be held in Kearney this year with students leaving for the conference on Monday, March 30th at about 8:10 AM. Conference competitions will be held on the 30th and 31st with the awards ceremony to follow April 1st in the AM. Students will return to the school by the end of the school day on the 1st. Currently twenty-two students are signed up to attend. Dorchester teachers Cassidy Olson and Lute Brees will be driving and chaperoning the students.
