6.2. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott- Mr. Larsen- Region III outstanding principal of the year. Congratulations on a well-deserved award. Roberts- The boys track team, with less participation than in previous years, was district runner-up. They stepped up and had a great season. Stuhr- Brogan Benes had impressive stats and represented our district well in his football year. Rolf- The boys golf team made state this year, it’s been a long time since they have made state. A large number (21) went out this year. Coach Albers and Coach Klooz did a great job coaching them. Look- I would like to recognize Jon Perone for all of his work on hosting a successful District track meet! His work behind the scenes made it a successful event and a great day for the coaches and athletes! I would also like to recognize the admin team for all of their hard work this year. They were tasked with working with a new guy again, and they have done a great job! I look forward to continue working with them into the future! Larsen- I would like to give a shout-out to Theresa Knust, our HS Secretary. The end of a school year is super busy and the timelines for many tasks come due. Whether its events, Honors Night, Graduation, End of Year Checkout, or Finalizing Grades, Theresa does it all and makes sure it is done in time. I would like recognize her for all that she does and thank her for all of the work she does to make our high school run smooth. Curry- Shoutout to our resource teachers & paras for the work they did to help get students across the finish line! Their jobs include a heavy paperwork load with added accountability, working with some of our toughest-to-reach students. Their approach to helping kids is rooted in care and passion for seeing their students succeed! Great work, Mrs. Klassen, Mrs. Kettelson, Ms. Gilbert, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Sup, Mrs. Nolan, and her maternity sub, Mrs. Gettert. Additionally, Mrs. Townsend and Mrs. Grosch provided extra support when called on to help in middle school. We are fortunate to have these ladies working with our students! Kayton- A special thank you to our staff who are helping with Elementary Summer School this year. Their willingness to invest extra time and energy into supporting students' learning and growth makes a meaningful difference, and we are grateful for their dedication to our kids and families. Perone- Thank you to everyone who stepped up and helped with District Track. We pulled off a very successful event and couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help. |
