6.1. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott- Congratulations to the entire Boone Central Speech team, Mr Sup, Andy Devine, Aaron Wyatt and Curtis Luettel on their successes so far in 2026. Also, shout out to Mr Perone, volunteers, coaches and custodial crew on all the work they’ve done with events hosted at Boone Central so far this year. Roberts- Winter sports and activities sponsors. This is known as angry adult season and I have not heard any complaints. Coaches and admin are doing a nice job handling things. Frey- I wanted to say thank you to Andy Zoucha (Zoucha Haygrinding) for chipping in on the last beef delivered from Malanders Feedyard LLC and the Albion Locker for helping out with the processing. Also wanted to give a shout-out to all that helped with the busy wrestling weekend Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Mr. Perone all the staff and volunteers that helped out. Stuhr- Janitorial staff and all the volunteers who have helped with all the events run smoothly. It takes a small army, there have been a lot of people in and out of the building, Thanks to everyone who has pitched in. Fogleman- I would like to recognize Mrs. Gaunt, Mrs. Molt and BCHC for their efforts on the CNA classes. I see they are doing an accelerated class this summer and appreciate them stepping up to do this in the summer. This is definitely something that is needed in our area and gives the students a great head start for their future careers. Rolf- I want to say thank you to the drivers for taking the kids everywhere for the winter sports season, I appreciate everything they do. Look- As we come off School Board Appreciation Month and the recognition week January 25-31, I would like to extend our gratitude to our Board of Education for your dedicated service and leadership. Your commitment to students, staff, and the community plays a critical role in the continued success and growth of our district. We are grateful for the time, care, and thoughtful decision-making you bring to this important work. I would also like to recognize Mr. Perone and the team of people who helped make the Mid-States Conference basketball tournament a success! His attention to detail, organization, and commitment to providing a positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and fans was evident throughout the event. His efforts showcased our school and conference in a first-class manner. Thank you, Jon, for your work on this and all the events to run! Larsen- I would like to recognize our Kitchen Staff for the work they do in their positions to support our students, families, and staff each day. They provide healthy menu options at breakfast and lunch as well as stock the vending machines with healthy snacks for students throughout the day. They work within all of the schedules and are flexible to make these meals possible. Behind the scenes, it takes a lot of logistical planning to make each day run smoothly. I appreciate their thoughtfulness, work ethic, and creativity doing what they do providing nutritional options each school day. Mr. Perone has orchestrated the many moving parts to host MidState Conference events over the past month between wrestling, speech, and basketball. There are a lot of things that must get right behind the scenes for these events to go off without a hitch. Mr. Perone handles all of that in addition to the normal responsibilities of his position. Mr. Perone has done a good job of ensuring everything runs as smooth as possible. Thank you for all your efforts, Mr. Perone! Kayton- I want to recognize Ms. Hellbusch, Mrs. Koch, and Mrs. Bounds for all the incredible work they’ve done for One School, One Book this year! We kicked off The Mouse and the Motorcycle across the entire elementary, and these ladies planned it all—from weekly classroom activities to trivia and fun ways to engage students throughout the book. Thank you for your time, creativity, and dedication to making reading a shared and exciting experience for our school! Perone- Hosting three wrestling tournaments and being the Midstate Conference President has been a huge undertaking. I appreciate all the work of all the people involved, we could never do it all without them. Many have chipped in and it is greatly appreciated. Kudos to the crowd at the Basketball game, it was a great atmosphere. |
