6.1. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott - all substitutes who step in when our staff are gone. Appreciate what they do for the District.
Roberts - Mr. Schwartz and the rest of the Board for going through the budget process. Also, thank you to the teachers who are enforcing the cell phone policy, the compliance piece has gone well. Frey - Coach Hudson, the assistant football coaches, and the entire football team who are having a great start to the year. Stuhr - all athletic teams are starting off the year great Fogleman - all coaches and volunteers who step up and make all the activities happen Rolf - Mrs. Kayton for starting community coffees at the Dotted Daisy. This is a great idea that incorporates the community and the students Kayton - Mrs. Gragert and all her help with PTO. Mrs. Molt for stepping up as the MS Volleyball coach and all her efforts in the elementary school Curry - Devon Gronenthal has stepped up and handled the issues that are thrown at him with professionalism and the expertise needed to minimize our 'downtime'. He has proven to be a very valuable asset to our district. Devon works hard to build positive relationships with students and staff. Larsen - Mrs. Gaunt and all of the opportunities she provides to the HS Science students. She offers unique classes and opportunities that help our students grow, with lots of hands-on experiences. Schwartz - Special Education Department. The District is one if 56 districts in the state that has met all NDE requirements in order to qualify for programs and federal funding. The School Board - would like to encourage and remind all Boone Central fans to continue to have good sportsmanship at all school activities. There is a shortage of refs and all official personnel. Be respectful and mindful role models. |

Policy - In October, the policy regarding birth gender and participation in sports will be presented for approval
Facilities - Football Field Scorevision will continue to be discussed. The plan is for a decision to be made in 2024. The General Fund will help supplement the Activity Fund financially. A property west of the school may be up for sale in the coming year, to be discussed and voted on in October. Transportation - The district currently has 11 vans, seven busses, one 11-passenger van, and two Expeditions. The transportation committee has explored the option of more 11-passenger vans, but these vehicles are no longer produced. Discussions with the insurance company will be had on what our options are for purchasing larger capacity vans and possibly removing seats. |
||
6.4. Superintendent Report
Discussion:
Banking options have been discussed. Current interest rates are flat.
Will continue to use NASB for the Superintendent evaluation The school's health insurance plan is available to be purchased by board members, per policy 2016 |

Discussion:
Larsen - High School is off to a great school year. Maps testing is complete and staff is currently analyzing the data. Thank you to the board for approving the pathways building improvements, the upgrades have made a big difference in that building. An update from Mr. Perone; the gym sound system is currently in the works.
Curry - The District has signed up to host the ACT, but a certain number of people have to sign up in order for it to be held at the school. The most recent testing was held somewhere else due to a lack of registrations for this location. Kayton - Elementary has completed testing. Discussions with other area preschools have been taking place regarding what they currently have in place. 2024-25 kindergarten numbers are being analyzed. |
