Recommendation to select Play On Courts Southeast for the Flooring for the Wellness Centers. We are asking the members of the Board of Education to select the type of flooring to use in the Wellness Centers from the following options.
Option 1: The bid price for Play On Courts Southeast is $114,294 for Wood Grain Vinyl flooring for Gordonsville High School Wellness Center. The bid price for Play On Courts Southeast is $117,439 for Wood Grain Vinyl flooring for Smith County Middle School Wellness Center. Combined total Wood Grain Vinyl = $231,733. Option 2: The bid price for Play On Courts Southeast is $126,859 for 7+2 Elastiplus flooring for Gordonsville High School Wellness Center. The bid price for Play On Courts Southeast is $130,764 for 7+2 Elastiplus flooring for Smith County Middle School Wellness Center. Combined total 7+2 Elastiplus = $257,623. Option 3: The bid price for Play On Courts Southeast is $198,832 for 3rd Grade Maple flooring for Gordonsville High School Wellness Center. The bid price for Play On Courts Southeast is $204,273 for 3rd Grade Maple flooring for Smith County Middle School Wellness Center. Combined total 3rd Grade Maple = $403,105. Any combined bid of over $250,000 will have to be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% due to federal bonding compliance requirements. |

We did not receive any bids for the drywall and drywall work needed at the Gordonsville High School Wellness Center and the Smith County Middle School Wellness Center. It has been difficult to find anyone even upon contacting other vendors to submit bids.
We would like to recommend our general contractor, Stockton Building Corporation, to perform the services needed: GHS Wellness Center: $17,500 SCMS Wellness Center: $26,000 These amounts will be added to the current contractual amount for Stockton Building Corporation. |
