October 14, 2013 at 9:00 AM - Transportation Staff Meeting

Rationale:  1.  Board Strategic Planning Meeting.  We visited about two topics for discussion at the board strategic planning meeting. 
     A.  Vehicle Replacement Schedule:  We need to develop a vehicle use/maintenance/replacement plan.  The group visited about our current system and the possible need to expand this system to include a replacement plan we can budget for in the depreciation fund.  We also visited about the need to address district transportation issues including conflicts with activity schedules, field trips and the problems associated with vehicle breakdowns on the day of a scheduled trip.
     B.  We also visited about the possibility of expanding our transportation system to assist with the traffic issue at the elementary building after school.  We also discussed the potential of an after-school program to reduce the traffic issue created with a common dismissal time.
