1. Music Curricula

Rationale:

We updated the music curricula to reflect the National Core Arts Standards which require students to create, respond, present, and connect
The following is the BHS music curricula being brought forward for approval:

Our Vision of a Learner competencies are identified and embedded within the curricula
We have created enduring understandings and essential questions which address the National Core Arts Standards
Performance tasks are provided to students which help inform our teaching practices.
Students rehearse, produce, review and create together.
There are different entry points in the music program including instruments, voice, technology, production or composition.

2. Public Comment
(Please note: The Board welcomes Public Comment and asks that speakers please limit their comments to 2 minutes. Speakers may offer objective comments of school operations and programs that concern them. The Board will not permit any expression of personal complaints or defamatory comments about Board of Education personnel and students, nor against any person connected with the Bethel Public School System.)
