Mr. Shannon Lovin reported on the following items:
1. K-2nd grade students completed MAPS testing before Christmas break. 2. 7th-12th grade students completed MAPS testing last week with the exception of a few students who were ill. 3. Mr. Glenn gave the Civics portion of the Natuaralization test to the 8th graders last week as required by the Americanism Act. It was a one hundred question test. Students did a great job as the class average was 83%. 4. Working on completing the Perkins Grant application. This was previously done by the ESU11 and now are requiring all school districts to complete their own application this year. The grant has been used to fund the Plant Tower, Induction Oven, and materials for business class in the past. 5. Wrestling and basketball seasons are about two-thirds complete. The girl's basketball team is 5-9. The boy's basketball team is 2-12. FKC Basketball tournament will begin at the end of this month. Due to the fact that we had two wrestling meets cancelled last week, we got our wrestling team into a meet on February 8th at Southwest in Bartley. Mrs. Kelly Simmons reported on the following: 1. Kate Hatch with ESU 11 lead staff development to review district data and decide on what area of focus will be the district's school improvement goal. Decided to focus on Language - Usage/Writing. 2. Lona Nelson-Milks with ESU 11 lead a staff development to introduce PBiS. 3. Health screens are complete in Upper Elementary and Lions Club will be coming for district wide screenings on February 19.

8. Next Board Meeting: Board Retreat at ESU 11 Thursday February 6th 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The next regular monthly meeting will be Monday, February 17 at 7:00 A.M. in the Wilcox Media Center.
