Discussion:  No members of the public were present

Discussion:  Jacob Sertich from Wilkins ADP met with the BOE to present different renovation and construction options.  The WHPS BOE is exploring options to continue to update WHPS facilities. Pricing options will be discussed so that the BOE can start to develop a fiscal plan to update the district's facilities. 

Discussion:  Option A- This option would renovate the current Hildreth building, transforming the building to a PK-5 set up.  The kitchen would be remodeled. A secure entrance would be added to the lobby area Restroom facilities would be added to the second and third floors.  A bus barn would be constructed to the north of the current building.

Discussion:  Option B- This option would demolish the three-story building, but maintain portions of the current lobby, office area, and everything west of the offices.  Hildreth building would be a PK-5 facility. A kitchen renovation would be included.  New ground level classrooms would be built to the south of the current building.

Discussion:  Wilcox- Option A- Demolition of the two-story building to rebuild classrooms on the ground level, renovation of the pool locker rooms, addition of new weight room with community access, training room and wrestling room. This project would be to set the Wilcox site as a 6-12 facility.

Discussion:  The BOE reviewed cost estimates for each project

Discussion:  Funding options could vary depending on the scope of each project. 

Discussion:  The Wilcox two-story building has had on going water leaks for the last 10 years.  The issue may be resulting from the translucent windows. Jacob Sertich from Wilkins ADP will contact window companies and contractors to pull out a few windows to determine if the windows were installed correctly and to see if there is any internal damage to the wall frame. 

Discussion:  A follow up facility meeting has not been scheduled.
