6.A. Wilkins ADP will be presenting facility improvement plans to the Board of Education for the Hildreth school building. The Board will discuss the plans presented and make recommendations for any changes.
Discussion:
The Board of Education reviewed the mechanical and electrical system evaluation that was completed by Engineering Technologies Inc. The evaluation looked at multiple systems in the building, including electrical system upgrades to the entire building, replacing the boiler with a new HVAC system, fire sprinkler systems, interior and exterior lighting, and video surveillance system upgrades. Jacob Sertich from Wilkins ADP presented possible renovation plans for a secured entrance to the building, adding restrooms to the second and third floors, ADA compliance upgrades to the building, renovation of multiple areas of the building as well as renovating several classrooms as well as the bathrooms in the concession stand at the football field. Possible new construction items that were discussed included a storage building at the football field and a bus barn on the north side of the Hildreth school building. The board directed Superintendent Patterson to continue working with Wilkins ADP to continue planning for potential renovation plans for the Hildreth and Wilcox facilities.
