Discussion:  Teresa Carey and Emily Lyons were visitors.

Discussion:  Discussion was led by Superintendent Patterson in regards to breakfast and lunch prices for the 2022-2023 school year. With increasing food prices and labor costs, it would be necessary to increase prices to cover these increasing expenses in the nutrition fund. 

Discussion:  Superintendent Patterson discussed the revisions to board policies that are required by law to revise.

Discussion:  Superintendent Patterson discussed the transporting of students in employee vehicles and working with attorneys to set a board policy in regards to transporting students. Discussion was held between board members in regards to this policy

Discussion:  Superintendent Patterson reviewed the policy of 5005 in transporting option students. Currently, if option students live on the current bus route, we provide transportation. Supt. Patterson is suggesting the possibility of moving up the pick-up time due to adding additional stops for picking up option students due to adding on miles to current bus routes. Discussion was held in regards to providing this transportation. Policy 5005 will be revised to allow the district to pick up option enrollment students when possible. 

Discussion:  Discussion was held in regards to the current transportation schedule and the proposed schedule to increase rates to keep our current bus drivers and recruit new drivers as well. This will help us to stay competitive with neighboring districts. 

Discussion:  Superintendent Patterson discussed with the board the possibility of converting to electric school buses and grant opportunities that are available for these buses. The board asked several questions about the grant and the feasibility 
of operating electric and or propane powered buses vs. diesel buses.  

Discussion:  Superintendent Patterson reported:

1. School finance updates
2. Board Policy updates
3. Student transportation pick up time changes for bus routes and the potential for adding non-resident students to bus routes to recruit new families into the district. 
4. Grant opportunity that provides the opportunity to get free electric route buses. 

Discussion:  Principal Lovin reported:

1. Sport and weight room activities over the summer
2. VB and FB overlapping games this fall- due to FB official shortages
3. VB will play in GI against Pleasanton on Aug. 27 during the State Fair
4. Outdoor sports will now be using a Wet Bulb Globe Thermometer to help prevent heat-related injuries to student athletes.  

The Board welcomed Principal Muhlbach as the new Upper Elementary Principal.  Her first official day is July 25.
