Discussion:
Mayor Eickmeier announced that a copy of the Agenda for this meeting is posted on the north wall of the Municipal Building and copies are available on the north wall where a copy of the Open Meetings Act is also posted for public inspection. He also noted that any citizen wishing to address the Council should come to the podium, state their name and address and limit their comments to five minutes. All remarks should be directed to the Mayor/Chairperson, who will then determine who will make any appropriate response. The City of Seward reserves the right to adjust the order of items on this agenda if necessary and may elect to take action on any of the items listed.

Rationale:
This is an Open Meeting of the Seward Nebraska Governing Body. The City of Seward abides by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act in conducting business. A copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act is displayed on the north wall of this meeting room facility as required. Disclosure of meeting recording processes is posted in the Meeting Room. A participant sign-in sheet is available for use by any Citizen addressing the Council. Presenters shall approach the podium, state their name & address for the Clerk’s record and are asked to limit remarks to five minutes. All remarks shall be directed to the Mayor who shall determine by whom any appropriate response shall be made. Discussion:
The League of Municipalities, along with their legal counsel, have worked for a number of weeks to create the attached resolution and agreements that will work for all municipalities and villages that wish to host recreational activities. City Attorney Kelly Hoffschneider has reviewed and updated the forms for the City of Seward. These agreements will be distributed to all teams/players who play or practice on City fields in the City of Seward.

3. Consideration of Holding USSSA Class B Tourney July 10 thru 12, 2020 - City Administrator Butcher

Discussion:
The City of Seward was previously selected to host the 2020 Class B USSSA softball state tourney. Organizers are still planning to have hold the event this year under existing DHMs. For purposes of timing and scheduling, the organizers would like us to give them a firm yes or no so that they do not have to change locations last minute or cancel the event in its entirety. Organizers and City Recreation Staff will be on the Zoom meeting to discuss their plans and protective measures to ensure this event meets all DHM and guideline requirements.

4. Resolution Amending Fees for Sale of Wood Chips - City Administrator Butcher

City Administration requested a review of a resolution adopted in 2009 for the sale of woodchips/mulch from a designated City site. Over the years, there was a different interpretation of the resolution and staff is requesting the resolution be clarified. The resolution has been updated and ready for Council consideration.
