Discussion:
At the request of Mayor Eickmeier, administration prepared the ordinance to limit gatherings to no more than 10 people in conformity with the current State of Nebraska Directed Health Measure. The drafted ordinance specifies that gatherings where a six (6) foot separation cannot be maintained with also be prohibited. This health measure specifically includes salons, beauty shops, nail salons, massage parlors, tattoo shops and the like. After Douglas and Lancaster County initiated similar restrictions there has been an increased number of calls to health officials and local officials inquiring about coming to surrounding communities to get these sorts of services. We have also fielded a number of questions from local salons regarding the current regulations.
