VII. CALL TO THE PUBLIC:

Description: Requests to speak to the Governing Board pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02.H - The Board may make an open call to the public during a public meeting, subject to reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions, to allow individuals to address the public body on any issue within the jurisdiction of the public body. Members of the public will be limited to three minutes each. However, if the number of individuals who have requested to speak exceeds twenty people, the Board President may limit comments to two minutes each. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual board members may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Board, may ask staff to review the matter, or may ask that a matter be put on the future agenda. Members of the Board shall not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly notified for discussion and legal action.

The Governing Board may convene in executive session, pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(4) to consult with its attorney to consider its position and instruct its attorney regarding the Superintendent’s employment.

VIII.B.7. Action Item: Superintendent’s Employment
The Governing Board may take action concerning the Superintendent’s employment, including: 1) The approval of the superintendent’s resignation and related separation agreement; or 2) the adoption of a statement of charges against the Superintendent.

VIII.B.8. Executive Session – Personnel Matters – Meeting with Acting Superintendent
The Governing Board may convene in executive session, pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(1) to discuss the Acting Superintendent’s employment and to provide direction concerning Acting Superintendent's duties and expectations.

VIII.B.9. Action Item: Acting Superintendent’s Employment
The Governing Board may take action concerning the Acting Superintendent’s employment, including, but not limited to, designating the Acting Superintendent as the Interim Superintendent.
