2.A. Review of Safety Walkthroughs (2024-2025)

2.A.1. Discuss findings from campus safety walkthroughs conducted during the 2024-2025 school year.

2.A.2. Identify areas for improvement based on these findings.

2.B. Update Basic Plans and Threat Assessment Annex  [Lt. Wilson]

2.B.1. Review and revise the district's Multi-hazard Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), particularly the Basic Plan and the Active Threat for Schools Annex.

2.B.2. Prepare for submission of the Basic Plan and Active Threat for Schools Annex by the Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) deadline of September 2, 2025.

2.B.3. Utilize enhanced templates and checklists provided by TxSSC for the 2025-2026 EOP Review Cycle. 

3. Training and Capacity Building  [Lt. Wilson]

3.A. Campus Reunification Training

3.A.1. Develop and implement training programs for staff on reunification procedures following an incident, including safe and efficient reunification of students with their families.

3.B. 2025-2026 District Staff Training

3.B.1. Provide training for all staff on relevant safety and security protocols, including threat assessment, emergency procedures, and reunification.

3.B.2. Ensure training aligns with legislative requirements and best practices.
 

3.B.3. Consider specific training for district personnel on utilizing the TEA Sentinel system for threat assessment reporting, which becomes mandatory starting August 1, 2025. 

4. Active Threat Planning and Identification  [Chief Storey/Lt. Wilson]

4.A. Identifying Active Threats (2024-2025 & 2025-2026)

4.A.1. Review current threat assessment processes and practices.

4.A.2. Discuss methodologies for identifying potential active threats within the school community.

4.A.3. Plan for mandatory reporting of all threat assessments in the TEA Sentinel system, beginning August 1, 2025.

5.A. Potentially upgrading our access control and video monitoring software
