The TexBuy Region 12 Coop membership allow TISD to purchase a Cybersecurity training subscription – newly mandated that we adopt one – from TexBuy at half the cost of Region 12’s agreement. There is no cost to join this COOP.

VIII.C.1. Consideration for Approval and Adoption of 2019-2020 Tax Rate
Description:
The Maintenance & Operation proposed tax rate is $1.0359 and the Debt Service proposed rate is $0.3150. The attached ordinance incorporates the language required or recommended to comply with state law. A public hearing is not required when the adopted rate is less than or equal to the proposed rate when the budget was adopted. Administration is recommending a total tax rate of $1.3509 per $100 valuation, which is approximately $0.05 lower than last year’s rate. A copy of the ordinance is included in the board packet.
Recommendation: Approve the property tax rate of $1.0359 for Maintenance & Operations and $0.3150 for Debt Service, for a total tax rate of $1.3509 per $100 of valuation.
