2.1. Support Our Students Grant
Description:
The school district received notice that it received a Support Our Schools grant from MDE. The grant will provide a 1:1 match for years 1-4, and a 3:1 match for years 5-6 to help pay for a guidance counselor shared between the middle school and high school. Secondary principals understand that if they need to make budget reductions, they will need to reduce other areas in their budget before reducing this position. I am supportive of accepting the grant.
