2.1. Review Meeting Notes
Description:
We will review the meeting notes from the previous meeting.

2.2. Review of Last Year's Accomplishments
Description:
We will discuss some accomplishments from the previous year, including the formation of the American Indian Parent Committee, Title VII changes, Pow-Wow during the spring, new teacher orientation, and other accomplishments.

2.3. Title VII / Liaison Program Update
Description:
Paul Dressen and Karsten Anderson will provide an update regarding the school district's Title VII / liaison programming, including providing notice to parents and increased form completion. We will also discuss posting for the district liaison position.

2.4. Grant Update
Description:
Success for the Future: Next chance to apply is 2017.
Language Revitalization Grant: Prairie Island is reapplying for this grant Johnson O'Malley Grant: American Indian communities generally apply. Big Read Grant: No update at this time. Federal Demonstration Grants: No update at this time. |

2.6. SE Technical College
Description:
Dorothy Duran, President of SE Technical College, will be in attendance at the meeting to introduce herself and discuss ways the college can work with our committee and communities.

3.1. Upcoming Meetings and Topics
Description:
Our meetings are scheduled for October 9th, November 13th, December 11th, January 8th, February 12th, March 12th, April 9th, and May 14th at 9:30 am in the Community Education Conference Room. Possible upcoming topics include Every Hand Joined networks, a possible University of Minnesota project, SCSU programming, UW-Green Bay programming (Craig Morris), college preparedness (Craig Morris and Dorothy Duran), recruiting students to become teachers (Craig Morris), targeted services programming, Title I programming, special education programming, and Section 504 programming.
