Description:
We are beginning to work on HR costs for 2012-2013 and all directors will submit their budget worksheets back to us by 4/5. TRS Insurance increases.

Description:
SB/BB renovations still underway. Ordered new dugout benches for baseball to match what we had constructed for SB. Dugouts, safety railing, and concession stand improvements still underway. Cost of aluminum bleachers at SB field approximately $42,000. New ice machine (sonic style) in the cafeteria.

Description:
We have one bus in the shop bus #19 activity bus. The remaining 6 buses are up and running as of now.

Description:
On Site audit of our Food Service Program…resulted in the commending of our Food Service Department. "TDA would like to commend AISD in running a very efficient food service program and providing appealing meals while meeting HHFKA requirements. The variety of reimbursable meals offered each day exemplifies adept planning and a coordinated execution of meal preparation. Congratulations." Michael Olivas

Description:
Standard Response Protocol Information. Resolution to form the Avery ISD Police Department as attached.

7.A.7. Teacher Contract Approvals
Description:
Non Renewal Notices must go out by the 10th day prior to the last day of classes instead of the old 45 day requirement. Superintendent recommends moving teacher contracts to April beginning with the 2013-2014 school year. This move is in the best interest of the district and allows the administration more time to complete thorough evaluations of staff.

7.A.8. Project Financing-QZAB
Description:
QZAB-TEA approved financing at at fixed 1.25% for 10 or 15 years for approved projects. Bill Caraway is our contact. Potential Projects: Paving, Awnings, Bus, Fire Alarm, etc. Could set up annual payments for little more than one month payment on the Weaver gym. Full funding in 4-6 weeks from start to finish.

Description:
Mr. Ricks, Mr. Eastepp, and Mr. Fain were the only three candidates who signed up to run for three spots. No need for an election.

Description:
Total premium of $20,783 (equity credit rebate of $2,230 already applied)

9.D. Consider/Approve Property/Casualty Coverage with Texas Schools Property/Casualty Cooperative (4/2013-4/2014)
Description:
Optional 3 yr commitment @ 3.5% discount =$19,475 for a savings of $1308 with 1,000,000 worth of sexual misconduct insurance included (an additional $1,200 cost from TASB) so a total savings of $2508.

Description:
By law we must enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the RRCo Sheriff's Dept once our Police Department is formed and our Chief of Police is hired. No contract is required for security at this time.

10.B. Northeast Texas School Board Association Dinner-Thurs, April 11h 6:00-9:00
Description:
The NETSBA Spring Banquet is scheduled for 6:00-9:00 on April 11th , 2013 in the Harvey Hohenberg Conference Center, Region 8 ESC. We will be celebrating the success of Title I, State Distinguished Performance and State Distinguished Progress campuses. You will be receiving a follow up email with information regarding our speaker and entertainment. This will qualify for 3 hours of Level 3 training.
