7.A.1. Enrollment/Attendance
Description:
Enrollment is down, however attendance is up. Net change at this time in refined ADA is 10 students. From 377 in 2011 to 367 in 2012. Currently over budgeted from the use of last year's numbers. Will be watching the budget very closely throughout the year.

7.A.2. Cafeteria Report
Description:
Total of 514 this year for Grandparent's Day (last year was 480), Interviewed three, hired Deandra Baird, started Monday, Nov 12th. Summer Feeding Program, new Federal Guidelines

7.A.3. Transportation Report
Description:
Activity Bus was back at ArTex with an electrical issue that it didn't not have prior to the engine issue. ArTex replaced both alternator and starter. Bus was picked up on Friday. Two buses (11 &12) went to Bowie County Transportation for heater repairs.

7.A.4. Maintenance Report
Description:
Ford Boomer 35 tractor has been received and utilized. Ms Fain and Ms Tucek's HVAC systems have been completed. Ms Taylor's, Mr. Cain's, and Coach Morris' rooms have had their furnaces replaced. Renovations: Fencing work is partially completed, still have to fence around batting cage at SB field, concrete is completed at both Baseball and SB fields. Masonry has not been scheduled yet due to insurance compliance issues. Still awaiting bids on bleachers and pipe work which will be last phase of this renovation. Asphalt looks like it will be under $250,000 to complete with tear out, fixing drainage issues and asphalting around all campuses and laying a bus pad. Will go through a TIPS/TAPS vendor so that bidding will not have to take place. Will also ask bidders to come to talk to board next semester before the board is asked to make a decision.

Description:
Wilf & Henderson is trying to complete audit report for our December meeting.

7.A.6. Board Team Building Training
Description:
I have contacted Randy Hancock, retired Superintendent and former Ag Teacher, to conduct our Team of 8 training. Will try to schedule for our Dec meeting date.

Description:
SECO HVAC grant has been submitted ($100,000 minus 15% fee), could know as early as Dec 5th
Lennox Foundation Grant ($55,000 for ceiling mounted projectors and updated audio) has been submitted and received by Foundation CAS (workman's comp company) grant submitted for $10,000 for exterior locking system |
