7.A.2. Maintenance Report
Description:
Annex is now an open gym area. Pipe is fixed along the bus lane. Draining grates have been installed along the Middle School sidewalk and dirt and grass cleared away to allow for drainage. Support pole for awning between the MS and Annex was repaired. Water was still an issue in the Annex after the last rain, so not a roof issue. Upon further inspection, North side of building had dirt, grass grown up above the foundation level and both down spouts were dumping water at the edge of the foundation. Down spouts have been extended to direct water to the concrete gutter and dirt and sod have been cleared away in order to improve drainage. All carpeted areas have been cleaned as well as the drapes on the stage. ServPro did an outstanding job and service men were very courteous. Maintenance truck was repaired by Robert Ward at no charge.

7.A.3. Transportation Report
Description:
Transportation allotment is calculated based on numbers turned in the previous year. Our allotment for 2011-2012 was $52,358. For 2013 our expected allotment is only $29,780, for a difference of $22,578. Remember we cut 1 bus route, so we saved just under $10K on a salary, fuel costs for 22,482 miles @ about 8 mpg with an avg diesel cost of about $3.90=$10,959.98(actuall to date savings $8,609.82 not including 1 week in August), and about $3,000 on maintence costs. So approximate savings for cutting 1 route=$21,500. Two bus routes are officially open and posted as of August 6th. Must be posted for a minium of 10 caldendar days (August 16). Will hire this week. May split the West route and hire an am driver and a pm driver. **This will not officially happen until Monday, so please keep it confidential.

7.A.4. Admin Office Report
Description:
Payroll Schedule: Year End Close gives us only 3 business to close our books before our first payroll. This is a tremendous burden on admin office staff and lends itself to a quick and hasty close potentially causing errors. Will be sending a survey to the staff concerning pay periods. A change is imminent. Potentially, dropping back to paying once a month (we are the only district is Reg 8 paying twice a month). In addition, we have several 'clearing' accounts. As part of our cleanup of our budget throughout the upcoming year, we will be consolidating all 'clearing' accounts into one single 'clearing' account. Not only will this help clean up our budget, it will also increase efficiency in our office with only three people by decreasing number of accounts to reconcile, accounts to post to, transfer to, due to due froms, etc. MOE Contract with Martha Collins cost $300 toward meeting SPED MOE, and saved us almost $21,000.
