4.A. In accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, the Board will convene in closed session to deliberate the following:

• Tex. Gov't Code §551.074 (Personnel Matters) — to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, duties, and terms of employment of an Interim Superintendent and a new Superintendent of Schools, and matters related to the Superintendent search process (Items 5A and 5B above).
• Tex. Gov't Code §551.071 (Consultation with Attorney) — to consult with the District's attorney on any item on this agenda for which the attorney's duty under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct conflicts with the Open Meetings Act.

4.B. The Board will convene in closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074 (Personnel Matters) to deliberate the employment and appointment of individual contractual personnel recommended by the Superintendent. The Board will reconvene in open session to take any action pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.102.

5. Open Session- Action Items from Closed Session

5.A. Consider and take possible action on matters discussed in closed session, including engagement of a superintendent search firm and the appointment and employment of an Interim Superintendent.

5.B. Consideration of and possible action to employ contractual personnel and to offer probationary, term, or continuing contracts pursuant to Texas Education Code Chapter 21, as recommended by the Superintendent.
