CALL TO ORDER: Announcement by chairperson whether a quorum is present, and that a meeting has been duly called, and that notice of the meeting has been posted in the time and manner required by law.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
According to Policy BED (Local) persons who desire to wish to participate in this portion of the meeting shall sign up with the presiding officer or designee before the meeting begins and shall indicate the topic about which they wish to speak.
No presentation shall exceed 3 minutes. 
Specific factual information or recitation of existing policy may be furnished in response to inquiries, but the Board shall not deliberate or decide regarding any subject that is not included on the agenda posted with the notice of the meeting.
The Board shall not tolerate disruption of the meeting by members of the audience.  Any oral remarks which attack the character of employees or board members are considered out-of-order.

together. However, if any member of the Board wishes to take action on an item individually, they may request to do so and it will be pulled out of the Consent Agenda in order to be considered on its own.

Approve Minutes from previous meetings-

Consider Budget Amendment #4-
According to the Texas Education Agency Financial Accountability System Resource Guide, a school district must amend the official budget before exceeding a functional expenditure category. The purpose of Budget Amendment #4 is to increase Function 99 (Other Intergovernmental Charges). Function 99 is used to make payments to the Appraisal District for the collection of taxes.

Consider Superintendent Contract Addendum-
In January, the Board of Trustees extended the superintendents contract with a modification to pay through June 2020. The 2020-2021 contract will take effect on July 1, 2020 and will require an addendum establishing compensation for the 2020-2021 school year ending in June of 2021.

Consider 2020-2021 Calendar-
House Bill (HB) 2610, passed by the 84th Texas Legislature amends Texas Education Code (TEC), §25.081, by striking language requiring 180 days of instruction and replacing this language requiring districts to provide at least 75,600 minutes of instruction, including intermissions and recess. The bill also allows school districts to add minutes as necessary to compensate for minutes of instruction lost due to school closures caused by disaster, flood, extreme weather conditions, fuel curtailment, or another calamity. The Texas Education Agency requires local school districts to annually adopt a calendar that meets the criteria established by state law, and ensures that school will provide at least the required number of instructional minutes during this calendar year. In accordance with House Bill (HB) 2610, and the amendments made to the Texas Education Code (TEC), §25.081, BISD, along with the local DAC committee, has created an instructional calendar that meets/exceeds the minimum 75,600-minute instructional calendar.
