6.a. Elementary Principal Report
Rationale:
July 2026
Soiling and WettingOccasionally, children do have soiling and wetting accidents. In all grades PK-6, if your child soils or wets his/her clothing, the following are the procedures that Sutherland Schools will follow.1. If a student soils or wets his/her clothing, the school will provide a place for the student to clean him/herself and change clothes provided by the parent or guardian. If the student cannot clean him/herself, the parent or guardian will be contacted and the parent/guardian is expected to take the student home to clean up and return the student to school. A soiling/wetting incident form will be completed.2. Students with documented medical or special needs may be exempt from this policy. If needed, a toileting plan will be developed as part of their IEP or 504. The toileting plan will detail who is responsible for the student should there be a soiling or wetting
