Certificated staff member Polly Pearson is among about 25,000 applicants for the televised survival show "Extracted" and is one of a small number of finalists with filming scheduled to begin in early August 2025. If she is selected to compete, she has submitted a request for unpaid leave through the completion of competition in the show once her available leave days are used (Neb. Rev. Stat. Sec. 79-838). A highly qualified substitute is available should Mrs. Pearson be selected for the competition. Motion to approve the request for unpaid leave from certificated staff member Polly Pearson.
