Board Policy 411.01 - Substitute Teachers
Rationale:
It would be prudent for the board to review the policy for substitute teachers prior to the start of the 2025-26 school year. There have been some minor revisions made to the policy to provide more clarity on the hiring of subs and the expected duties when they are hired.
As for compensation, Ainsworth sits higher than the average (~$140) of 16 regional schools with a daily rate of $145 for certified subs. I will have more up to date cost comparisons at the meeting as some schools are updating their daily rates.

Approval of Student-Parent Handbooks for 2025-26

Annually, the Board approves the student-parent handbooks. The handbooks for this year have some typical revisions to be considered as well as items discussed at the May 28th board work session and retreat.
Overall, the revisions are minor and do not represent a significant change. Both Principals and AD will be available to answer questions and provide clarification.
