Procedures for Public Participation

Prepared statements that are to be read to the Board should have a copy presented to the Board President prior to their being addressed.
Comments on agenda items will be made by rising and approaching the microphone and stating your name and address and signing on the sheet provided.
You will be granted up to three minutes to address the Board. Your three(3) minute time limit will start when you begin to speak. When three(3) minutes are over, you will be asked to be seated.
Any item that is not on the agenda, as well as agenda items acted upon, comments will be made at the designated section at the end of the agenda.

Act 20 of 1993 amended the law to grant residents and/or taxpayers of the district the right to comment on matters of concern, official action or deliberation that are or may be before the Board.
Act 93 of 1998 further amended the law requiring the Board to provide an opportunity for public comment by residents and taxpayers before taking official action.
