Informational Items: Board President's Report: Executive Session was held on August 25, 2026 for legal and personnel purposes. Motions: 8A. To reappoint Dr. Janet Sardon, as Superintendent of Schools for the West Jefferson Hills School District, beginning July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2032, subject to an employment agreement with terms and conditions required by the school code and agreed upon by the parties. Resolution from solicitor to be added on Monday.

To approve the minutes of the June 23, 2026 Committee of the Whole Meeting and June 23, 2026 Regular Board Meeting, as presented. 10B. To approve the bill listing from June 16, 2026 - June 30, 2026, excluding June 24, 2026, July 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026, and August 1, 2026 - August 26, 2026 for a total of $17,930,575.64 for the General Fund, as presented. 10C. To authorize the filing of annual tax assessment appeals, on terms and conditions approved by the Superintendent, Director of Finance, and Solicitor. 10D. Description:
Informational Items: A letter with regard to transportation was sent out to families. There were four buses eliminated for the 2026-2027 school year. In addition, there were changes to the start and end times of middle school. New start time is 7:40 am, and the new dismissal time is 2:50-3:00 pm. Thank you to all those involved in making the adjustments to the bus routes. The district will no longer be using School Messenger for reporting when buses are late. Parents are being asked to download the Bus Zone app. Information will be pushed out from the bus company. Information will be sent to parents once Qmlativ is updated. Motions: 17A. To approve Resolution #442-26 approving the 2026-27 list of bus drivers and monitors hired by Durham School Services, as presented. |
