3. ED-TECH REPRESENTATIVES
REPRESENTATIVE REPORT: Mrs. Kahler, Mr. Dominick, Mrs. Downer, and Mrs. Noel
Description:
The student handbooks for the 2026–2027 school year are on the board agenda for approval this month. There are minor changes in wording across all K–8 handbooks K-8, and rewording of sections of the high school handbook to be more user-friendly and understandable for all stakeholders.
The JHIS Schoolwide Title I plan is on the agenda this month for approval. Once approved, the Title grants will be submitted to the state to get the federal monies to the district.

4. FACILITIES REPRESENTATIVES
REPRESENTATIVE REPORT: Mr. Zacur (Chair), Mr. Rice, Mr. Rash, and Mrs. Downer
Description:
A motion to approve the total costs for the building project will be added to the board agenda for September. The Act 34 booklet will be available for board review at the September representative meetings.
The Act 34 hearing will be scheduled for October 22, 2026.
The district will be investigating final costs for the roof repairs of the field house to occur after the fall sports seasons.
The district will be gathering information and costs for service contracts with regard to the HVAC systems across the district over the next few months.
The borough is requesting two additional days of a traffic study. This is an anomaly, as TransAssociates has never been asked to do this in 42 years. More information on this study and the final analysis will be forthcoming upon completion.
The board will be adding to its agenda in September a 2% increase in athletic positions within the district.
This month the reappointment of the superintendent position will be on the agenda. Notice was sent to the board as required by law. The finalization of the employment agreement terms and conditions is in process.
The business manager contract is under review for approval at the September board meeting as it expires during the 2026–2027 school year.
All additional hires for the 2026-2027 school year are on the agenda for hiring this month.

6. FINANCE REPRESENTATIVES
REPRESENTATIVE REPORT: Mrs. Finnerty, Mrs. Downer, and Mr. Rash
Description:
The 2025-2026 school year audit will be conducted during the week of September 8-11.
The 2025-2026 school year, based on the June Budget Performance Report shows approximately $1.1 million dollars in the positive to the year. There are still some outstanding things to be paid for during the months of July and August.
The district will receive the following in Title monies for the 2026-2027 school year.
Total monies for 2026-2027 ($423,710)
Title I: $341,571
Title II: $56,607
Title IV: $25,526
There is a finalized tax appeal by Walgreens where the value went from $4,480,000 to $2,798,000. Based on this information, the district owes a total of $106,585.81 for 2022-2025.
A grant for $164,000 has been submitted for the asphalt to aid in handicapped accessibility for the current baseball and softball fields.
The district will be adding a borrowing motion to the agenda for this month for approximately $10 million dollars. This is the first of three borrowings for the new middle school building project.

Description:
Policy #716 Integrated Pest Management will be added to the board agenda this month for first reading.
Policy #212 Reporting of Student Progress is under review by the representative group and is representative of current grading practices.
Policy #627 Commercial Activities and Partnerships is under review by the representative group.
The policy system has changes and the district is currently working on making the new portal active for parents on the website and Keystone Agenda portal.

REPRESENTATIVE REPORT: Mrs. Finnerty, Mr. Rash, and Mr. Rice
Description:
No meeting was held this month. The first meeting of the school year is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The district received notice of the PCCD monies for the 2026–2027 school year. We are receiving $248,391. This is an increase of $83,855 from the previous year. The grant is due to be submitted in mid-September.

9. TRANSPORTATION REPRESENTATIVES
REPRESENTATIVE REPORT: Mr. Dominick (Chair), Mrs. Shoemaker, and Mr. Rice
Description:
The district has eliminated four buses for the 2026–2027 school year, which is a savings of approximately $320,000.
The times at PHMS for students start are 7:40 and dismissal is at 2:50. The change is ten minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the afternoon.
Bus Zone will be used during this school year to track buses and send notice of late buses to families.
